Our Venues for #Berlin2023
The venues being used for the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023 are located all around the city—from Messe Berlin in the west, along various spots in the city center, to the district Grünau in the south-east of Berlin.
Olympiapark
In the Olympiapark, the following venues will be used for the World Games: August-Bier-Plätze, Eissporthalle, Hanns-Braun-Stadion, Hockey-Stadion, Horst-Korber-Sportzentrum, Maifeld, Poelchau-Schule, Reitclub and Olympiastadion.
Messe Berlin
Messe Berlin, including the nearby Tennis Club SC Brandenburg e.V., will serve as the venue for many of our sporting events. In addition, the Healthy Athletes® Program and our Special Olympics Festivals will also take place here.
City Cluster
We will be present in the middle of the city and at important tourist sites such as the Neptunbrunnen next to Alexanderplatz, on the Straße des 17. Juni starting next to Brandenburg Gate, and the BeachMitte not far from the Berlin Wall Memorial.
SSE
The Schwimm-und Sprunghalle im Europasportpark (SSE) is a state-of-the-art sports and competition swimming hall in the district of Prenzlauer Berg.
Wannsee
Our sailing competitions will take place at Seglerhaus Wannsee, located at the popular lake Wannsee in southwest Berlin.
Bowling World
Bowling events will take place at World Berlin, located right next to the famous East Side Gallery in the district of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg.
Grünau
The regatta course Berlin-Grünau is located in southeast Berlin in the Treptow-Köpenick district.
Bad Saarow
The Golf Club Bad Saarow is located outside of Berlin along the beautiful Scharmützelsee in Brandenburg.
