Golf

Since 1995, golf has been part of the Special Olympics World Games.

 

How to play golf:

You can play golf on a grass course.

You play golf with a club and a small ball.

There are different holes on the grass course.

The aim is to get your ball from the starting point into different holes.

 

Who wins?

The player with the lowest score.

Unified Sports®

In Unified Sports®, people with ID and

people without disabilities play sport together.

They also compete together.

The people with ID are called athletes.

The people without disabilities are called partners.

 

Is golf a Unified Sport?

Yes.

There are teams of people with ID.

And there are teams of people with ID and people without disabilities.

 

How many people play golf at the World Games?

150 athletes and 33 partners.
